MARITIME ELECTRONICS DEPARTMENT - COMMERCIAL VESSELS - NAVIGATION - WIND METERS AND WEATHER STATIONS

We provide two basic wind meter configurations, displaying true and relative wind speed and direction.

Walker 2080 wind meter, comprising of P - 292 ultrasonic sensor (no movable parts) and P - 249 display, is used to measure relative wind data, and allows for connection of digital or analogue receivers.

Walker 2050 wind meter comprising of P - 296 traditional sensor and P - 249 display, is used to measure relative wind data. It also allows for connection of digital or analogue receivers.

To receive true values the P - 1066 interface receiving speed and heading data (i.e. from the ship's log and gyro compass) must be added to the above systems.

Such versions of the wind meters are known as Walker 2080 MKII and Walker 2050 MKII.

The Walker 7070 weather station comprises of the following elements:

• Electronics panel,
• Air pressure, humidity and temperature sensors,
• Water temperature sensor,
• Display

When connected to wind speed and direction sensor (P-296) and display (P-249) the station allows for measurement of true and relative wind data.
