Using all its experience and knowledge in the area of measuring
masts, EPA developed an innovative design of a 120-metree lattice
measuring mast.
We are convinced that wind data recorded by the
offered measuring mast will significantly improve the accurracy of
electricity productivity assessments, significantly lowering the risk of
improper and costly decisions upon investment planning phase.
Description
- The mast is very slender and light, weighing only approximately 24
kg per one metre of height.
- It is a triangular lattice structure divided into 3-metre sections
weighing approximately 72 kg each.
- The mast is galvanised to endure corrosion resistance and painted in
accordance with obstacle marking requirements.
- The structure is stabilised by nine levels of guy wires.
- Guy wires are anchored using an innovative system of multiple-use
soil anchors.
- The mast is equipped with an independent power source. Measuring
equipment and obstacle marking is supplied from PV cells and a small
wind turbine.
- The mast has been designed with multiple use in mind; erection does
not require costly civil works.
- The mast is erected using a dedicated crane, designed to allow for
rapid and safe assembly and to eliminate high construction costs of
access roads required for heavy self-propelled cranes
